Can You Include Your Faith In Your Business?
Share
Gone are the days of having to separate faith and business. Over the last several years, there has been an uptick in Christian entrepreneurs boldy sharing their faith in their business.
And if you're wondering how you can do the same, here's how:
1. Your mission statement and company values
It’s perfectly okay to talk about your faith in your mission statement. After all, you're looking to connect with like-minded people, right? Talking about your faith isn’t just limited to the church. Let your audience know the why behind your brand - even if it's as simple as saying "I was led to do this by God."
2. Your products and services.
Think Forever 21. Although their products aren't necessarily “faith-based”, every shopping bag includes a scripture (John 3:16) - a subtle yet powerful way to include their faith in their business.
3. Focus on purpose over popularity
Trends are fun, they really are, but be sure you are focusing on what impact you can make vs how popular you can get. Remember, your purpose is bigger than you.
4. Work with integrity.
Don't get so caught up in trying to make a "profit" that you lose your values. Remember the why behind your brand. If you put people first, the profit will come.
As you can see, there are tons of ways to share your faith in your business - you aren't limited to one particular way.
No matter how you choose to do it, the most important thing is that you keep God at the center of your business.
